Empowering Technopreneurs of Tomorrow Through Strategic CSR Initiatives

The recent win at the (P@SHA) ICT Awards 2023 in the CSR Category is a testament to ConsulNet Corporation’s unwavering commitment to contributing to Pakistan’s well-being.

The company continues its mission to empower Pakistan’s IT sector, drive economic growth, and bridge the academia and industry gap.

ConsulNet Corporation has achieved significant success in the domain of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Over the past two years, the company has attained an impressive conversion rate of 36.42% which led to its recognition at the ICT Awards. The ICT sector stands as a testament to the efficacy of ConsulNet Corporation’s efforts in fostering sustainable employment opportunities and economic growth.

Empowering Technopreneurs of Tomorrow Through Strategic CSR Initiatives

ConsulNet Corporation addresses the staggering disparity between the number of available IT jobs and the skill set possessed by graduates, which has been a prominent concern. ConsulNet Corporation has actively tackled this issue by developing and conducting sponsored specialized tech training and skill development programs to improve youth employability in the tech sector.

CodeGirls (CG) has been the flagship program of ConsulNet Corporation working since 2018. CG currently operates physically in Karachi, Skardu, and Cape Town, with a virtual presence across Pakistan in 25 towns and cities. Four years and more than 255 success stories down, ConsulNet Corporation has curated 2 other programs with the same aim. There is one major difference: these skill development programs cater to the strong demand from industry and participants to provide training programs for boys as well

The 2 programs are S.E.E.D (Skill Enhancement and Education Development) Program in collaboration with KPSIAJ and TechLab in partnership with Engro Foundation and WeConnect. The first cohort of 50 participants is to graduate from each of these programs at the end of 2023.

This commitment to fostering sustainable development aligns seamlessly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of Quality Education, Gender Equality, Poverty Alleviation, Decent Work, and Economic Growth, as well as Partnership for the Goals.

The approach is to ensure a holistic program structure. We go full circle, starting from comprehensive career counseling, tech training, industry-driven evaluations, coaching on core skills, job portals, and professional mentoring networking for job placements in the tech sector – thereby tackling the issue of academia and industry gap at its core.

We remain dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for the greater good of society and the nation. Looking ahead, ConsulNet Corporation eagerly anticipates further collaborations and sponsorships that will continue to make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of the Pakistani youth, ensuring a brighter and more prosperous future for all.
